Philippines  – Manila Central University (MCU) takes a leap forward in its pursuit to empower future leaders as it launches 6 new program offerings. The programs, launched during the university’s LIFE Talk last December 4, are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to pave the path for their future careers.



The unveiling of the new programs coincides with the university’s 120th founding anniversary. The courses, set to be offered in the next academic year, offer students advanced learning opportunities in fields that are rapidly evolving and essential to the modern economy.

Recent data from the World Health Organization (WHO) for 2024 reveals that the Philippines remains among the top five countries responsible for more than half of the global TB cases. The Philippines is also listed among the 10 nations with a "high burden" of TB incidence, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced detection and treatment strategies.

URC’S STATE-OF-THE-ART FLOUR MILL, SET TO COMMENCE OPERATIONS IN SARIAYA QUEZON

Philippines – Universal Robina Corp. (URC), one of the country’s largest food and beverage firms,  is set to open a new mill in Sariaya town, in Quezon Province, to further boost its production of quality flour.

URC Flour Sariaya – set to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2024 – will raise URC Flour’s capacity, from 2,180 MT per day to about 3,500 MT per day.
