POWER UP YOUR CREATIVITY WITH THE ULTRA-THIN HUAWEI MATEPAD AIR AND NEXT-GEN AI MAGIC

PHILIPPINES — HUAWEI changes the way modern users work, play, and create with the all-new HUAWEI MatePad Air, bringing together a remarkable screen, PC-level AI productivity, and powerful performance in an ultra-thin and lightweight design. Built for modern professionals, entrepreneurs, and creators, the latest addition to the HUAWEI MatePad series gives users the flexibility to work, learn, create, and manage everyday tasks wherever they are.

The all-new HUAWEI MatePad Air is now available for pre-order in the Philippines starting September 11, 2026, giving users the chance to experience a smarter and more versatile way to work and create.

See Every Detail Better with the World’s Best Screen

The HUAWEI MatePad Air boasts the world’s best screen with its 12-inch 2.8K Ultra-Clear OLED screen and PaperMatte Display, giving users a larger canvas for productivity, creativity, and entertainment. For JC Cerezo, a remote sales trainer and founder of The Parliament, the biggest remote sales community in the Philippines, the HUAWEI MatePad Air’s screen makes it a truly productivity device. “The display matters because we’re not just watching videos, we’re also reading, writing, presenting, and working for long hours,” he said.

The screen features an ultra-slim 4.69mm bezel, which creates a more immersive viewing experience while giving users like content creator and Brew&Co MNL founder Mika Leetong more room to work with their content. With a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 1,200 nits peak brightness, and a P3 cinema-grade color gamut, the OLED display delivers sharper details, smoother visuals, and vibrant, more lifelike colors to enhance the visual experience crucial for professionals who also create content, like Leetong. “Usually, I draw or doodle effects (when I edit content), and I get to be able to do that easily with the HUAWEI MatePad Air,” she said. “Even if you’re looking at it in outdoor or indoor settings, even if the change in setting is sudden, the visuals remain clear.

The HUAWEI MatePad Air’s display also features HUAWEI’s signature PaperMatte Display technology, which not only enhances the writing or drawing experience but also protects users’ eye health. Using a high-level precision nano-level etching process, the screen is designed to minimize glare and reflections while maintaining a more natural, paper-like view and feel. According to Cerezo, the glare-free, eye-friendly screen makes a meaningful difference for when he spends long hours working. “Because it reduces glare and reflections, there’s less eye strain when I’m reviewing decks, documents, and content for long hours,” he claimed.

SM SUPERMALLS COMMEMORATES 500TH JOB FAIR MILESTONE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TESDA FOR INCLUSIVE EMPLOYMENT

OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN REACH. Across SM malls nationwide, jobseekers are finding new ways to connect with jobs, skills, and brighter possibilities.

PHILIPPINES – For thousands of Filipinos, finding the right job begins with having the right opportunity within reach. SM Job Fair marked a major milestone while widening access to employment and skills development—from celebrating its 500th nationwide job fair and bringing SM Group employers directly to communities, to working with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to connect technical-vocational training with careers. Together, these initiatives reflect SM Supermalls’ continuing commitment to make the journey from preparing for work to finding meaningful employment more accessible to Filipinos.

500 JOB FAIRS—AND COUNTING!

On August 12, SM City Daet hosted the 500th SM Job Fair, marking an important milestone in SM Supermalls’ nationwide jobs advocacy.  As of its 500th Job Fair, the program has connected around 330,000 jobseekers with thousands of employers nationwide, resulting in more than 42,000 applicants hired on the spot (HOTS). Behind those numbers are individual journeys—from fresh graduates looking for their first break and career shifters starting again to breadwinners and experienced professionals taking their next step.

500 JOB FAIRS, THOUSANDS OF NEW BEGINNINGS. At SM City Daet, a nationwide milestone became personal as another jobseeker walked away hired on the spot.

Through partnerships with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), local Public Employment Service Offices (PESO), employers, and industry organizations, SM continues to use its nationwide mall network to bring jobs closer to communities.

FROM OPPORTUNITY TO EMPLOYMENT AT THE SM GROUP JOB FAIR

The momentum continued on August 18 at SM City Fairview, where the SM Group Job Fair connected jobseekers with career opportunities across the SM Group.

Applicants met recruiters face-to-face, explored vacancies, submitted applications, and underwent interviews in one accessible venue—simplifying the hiring journey while helping participating companies meet potential talent from the community.

ONE STEP CLOSER TO A CAREER. Jobseekers meet SM Group recruiters face-to-face, turning applications and interviews into possibilities for a fresh start.

For fresh graduate May Stephanie, the search for her first job ended with good news when she was hired by Savemore. “Masaya po kasi mahirap po maghanap ng work lalo po pag fresh grad ka po.” Her experience reflects the human impact behind every successful match: a chance to begin a career, earn a livelihood, and build toward a more secure future.
