Philippines - Guys, this is it! The 7-Eleven Run Series is back this year, and on February 4-5, 2023, it will be held simultaneously in Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Around 40,000 runners are expected to participate in this biggest running event this year.
In this running event intended to promote an active lifestyle for all individuals wanted a healthy living and also for fun. This year 7-11 RUN 2023 Cebu and Davao Series are scheduled & expected to have 8,000 and 7,000 runners, respectively with Manila Series hosting the most number of participants with 25,000.
The fun run - marathon this year will have the same categories in addition to two new ones in the Manila leg are added: the 42-kilometer Masters Category for participants 60 years of age and above and a 1-kilometer fun run for young kiddos.
Jose C. Ang Jr., the managing director for digital at 7-ELEVEN and head of the general merchandise division, announced the new categories. "This was demanded loud and clear" 42km Seniors Run Category.
According to Mr. Ang, who also the president of the National Masters Senior Athletics Association of the Philippines (NMSAAP), those runners/athelete who join the said category will actually outperform regular runners because some of them are ultra-marathoners who used to run more than 50km, some are former Olympians, National Athletes, and Podium Winners na wanted to show ang unexplainable worth at value ng running in their lives.
For this year the Philseven Foundation, Inc., a non-profit social advocacy arm of 7-Eleven, will receive the revenues of the run, which 7-Eleven why the team behind this run is encourages communities to participate and start make a difference not only for them but into own self.
The 7-Eleven Run 2023 is open to all beginner and professional runners and is an exciting avenue for an outdoor date with friends and families. Multiple categories from 1k, 3k, 5k, 10k, 10k Buddy, 21K, 32K, and up to 42k.
This year’s run converges personal and community benefits as medals and cash prizes await winners of all categories at the finish line. More tokens are also to be awarded to the top three male and female finishers of the 21k, 32k, and 42k categories as they win the opportunity of representing the country in an international race.
Racers may join in two ways: paid or promo registration. The paid registration period runs until January 22, 2023, where prices vary according to participants’ chosen category.
All participants are entitled to free Race Kits upon payment and a Finisher Kit and Finisher Entitlements for those who cross the finish line. And 7-Eleven being the convenience caterer, over 30 sampling booths are also available at the event for runners to try with products from the run’s sponsor brands.
