CLARK, PAMPANGA: RED BULL ATHLETE SECURES GOLD AT 2025 WAKEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS



PhilippinesFilipino wakeboarder and Red Bull athlete Raph Trinidad marks another historic win after clinching gold at the 2025 IWWF Asia and Oceania Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships. Trinidad competed in the Open Men’s category for the Wakeboarding event, scoring 81.67 to earn him his first place win.


The 2025 IWWF Asia and Oceania Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships were held last January 24 to 26 at the Decawake Clark Cable Park in Angeles City, Pampanga. Bringing together the top wakeboarders from Asia and Oceania, the event marked the final qualifier for The World Games (TWG) 2025 happening August in Chengdu, China.


Trinidad delivered a flawless and exhilarating run that earned him top marks from the judges. With his top spot finish, Trinidad bested international wakeboarders such as Kyrgyzstan’s Stanislav Fidelsky, Thailand’s Luke Atirat Carrick and Benjamin Phechyuenyong, as well as Australia’s Zac Falzon and Lachlan “Locky” Fort.

MARGIE DIDAL SHINES IN COMEBACK VICTORY AT RED BULL BUENOS AIRES


Philippines – Last November 12, Filipino skater and Red Bull athlete Margielyn “Margie” Didal has made a triumphant return to the international skateboarding scene, skating her way to first place for women’s division at the Red Bull Buenos Aires Conquest. Didal makes her return to the podium following her journey to recovery from an ankle injury.


Last November 9, a crowd of 2,000 people gathered at the University of Buenos Aires Law School to witness the Red Bull Buenos Aires Conquest, a prestigious, unconventional street skateboarding competition. The competition brought together 24 of the world’s best skaters, including skaters from South Africa, the Netherlands, France, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, and the Philippines.

HALF COURT GROUP AND URATEX DREAM ALL SET TO REPRESENT THE PHILIPPINES AT THE RED BULL HALF COURT WORLD FINAL IN NEW YORK


Philippines The Philippines is gearing up for game day as the winning Red Bull Half Court teams, Half Court Group and Uratex Dream, head to New York representing the country at the Red Bull Half Court World Final. Months after they earned their wings and secured their respective spots in the competition, both teams are ready to put on a show for the global stage.


Sam Harada, Kaye Pingol, Eunique Chan, and Afril Bernardino of Uratex Dream are challenging for the title as Red Bull 2024 Half Court World Champion for the women’s division. Meanwhile Chester Saldua, Matt Salem, Jordan Bartlett, and Gryann Mendoza of Half Court Group, who are playing for the men’s division, have been laser-focused on getting back into the swing of the 3-on-3 streetball tournament. The team has emphasized the importance of staying to shape, anticipating a fast-paced game full of pressure.


“Our outside shooting and speed will always be our main weapons,” said Half Court Group’s Coach Mau Belen. “In practice, we make sure to improve these two skill sets and use (them) efficiently in order to help us win games.”


Coach Belen added, “We are trying to focus on positioning better inside the court, so we’ll give ourselves a chance to keep the ball alive and maintain an even count on possession against the other teams.”

Unlike typical dance competitions where a panel of judges is present, with Red Bull Dance Your Style, the audience wields the power to decide the winner. This makes for a more intense dance battle, where dancers unleash their prowess to captivate the audience.

LUZON’S FINEST DANCERS BATTLE AT RED BULL DANCE YOUR STYLE MANILA QUALIFIER



Philippines - Another epic dance battle took place at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Manila Qualifiers, held last July 27 at Octopus in Makati. The intense competition showcased Luzon's top dance talents. With the conclusion of the series of qualifiers, the country eagerly awaits the grand showdown where finalists will battle it out for the coveted title and the chance to represent Philippines in the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals. 


The unique global street dance competition swept the nation with the regional qualifiers, challenging dancers from Cebu, Davao, and Manila to show off their talent as they freestyle to a random selection of songs. Each city hosted fierce battles, with dancers from across the country pushing their limits and captivating audiences with their unique styles and high-energy performances. Each of them were vying for a spot in the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals.
