According to the Department of Health of the Philippines (DOH), cardiovascular diseases, stroke and cancer are still one of the leading causes of death here in our country. Even cases of young people are starting to rise as they start to develop symptoms leading these kinds of diseases in their early age. But in order to avert this kind of an outcome, the Department of Health reminds us that keeping a healthy lifestyle is key to prevent these killing diseases.

To have a healthy lifestyle each of us should push our self to love our own body by means of eating nutritious and healthy food, proper diet, exercise everyday, take supplements, getting enough sleep, and more great things to keep us moving in a healthy you. Because of this Health Matters will help us to have access to important information that keep us aware on how to maintain a healthy body for a better you.

Health Matters is a weekly health and lifestyle program on the ABS-CBN News Channel that aims to inform its audience by tackling the latest medical issues. Every week, fitness and healthy lifestyle advocate Paolo Abrera invites the viewers to listen in to medical consultation with leading medical experts regarding different health concerns.The show also provides different ways to help keep the body and mind fit through proper nutrition and health practices.
