Calling all my running friends and aspiring runners and to bring also your friends and family to join this amazing running event this coming month of August. The Philippines Commission of Health Research and Development (PCHRD) partnership with Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Council of Health Research and Development (COHRED), proudly bring to us its first running event titled RUN 4 HEALTH RESEARCH.

The objective of this promotional event is to disseminate information and raise the awareness of the citizens in the international strategies in health research relevant to the public service and national development, said by PCHRD Executive Director Dr. Jaime Montoya.

MABINING MANDIRIGMA A STEAMPUNKED MUSICAL: MA-PA LSS KA!

Paano ba maging isang Pilipino na may lubusang pagmamahal sa kanyang Inang Bayan.

Paano mo ba masasabi na ikaw ay isang Pilipino na handa lumaban para sa pagbabago ng kanyang bayan. O kaya isa ka ba sa daan-daang Pilipino na handa ipaglaban ang katotohanan para sa isang mapayapa na sambayanan. Ganyan si Ginoong Apolinario Mabini isa sa mga Bayani ng ating Bansa na lubusang nagmahal sa kanyang Inang Bayan, kahit siya ay may karamdaman hindi ito naging hadlang upang siya ay lumaban para sa katotohanan at kalayaan ng ating Bansa, laban sa mga kamay ng mga dayuhan. Iyan si Mabini ang isang mahusay, matapang na mandirigma.

Ako ay naanyayahan ng isang kaibigan upang panoodin ang isang palabas sa teatro na pinamagatang Mabining Mandirigma a steampunked musical, ako ay napaisip kung bakit ito ang kanilang pamagat. Ang Pamagat na Mabining Mandirigma sa salitang Ingles ay "Gentle Warrior" o sabihin natin na si "Mabini is a Warrior", diba ang ganda pakinggan at malaman kung ano talaga ang kahulugan ng pamagat na ito. Pero ano ba ang dahilan kung bakit pinanood ko ang palabas na Mabining Mandirigma a Steampunked Musical, sabi ko nga sa sarili ko bakit kaya my steampunked musical ang pamagat na ito. Aaminin ko sa ilang teatro palabas na aking na panood madalas dito ako ay naboboring dahil hindi ako nabubuhayan sa mga eksena at sa maraming dahilan pa. Pero ano ba ang meron sa palabas na ito at paano nila gagawing buhay na buhay o makulay ang isang palabas na ito lalo na buhay ito ng isang Bayani.

Si Mabini ay babae! Oo isang talentado at maganda na binibini ang gumanap sa pangunahing karakter na si Apolinario Mabini, nagulat ako sa akin nakita at sinabi sa aking sarili na kaya niya ba gampanan ang papel bilang isang lalake sa palabas na ito. Ako ay nabighani, saludo ako sa kanya at lubusang humanga dahil mahusay niya nagampanan ang karakter niya.

Ano ba ang masasabi ko sa palabas na ito kung bakit kailangan ninyo ito mapanood:

- Sobrang galing ng mga tauhan sa palabas na ito lalo na sila Mabini at Aguinaldo.

- Astig din si pepe sa sing and dance performance nila na may arinola, walis at pula na bath robe

- Hinda magarbo ang Stage props at mahusay ang nakaisip nito na gawing malaking time machine ang entablado.

- Nagustohan ko ang twist nila na mga babae ang gumanap sa mga General ng America na sumakop sa ating Bansa noon.

- Ang mga kasuotan nila wala ako masasabi ang ganda at kaya pala may steampunked ang pamagat nila dahil ito sa mga kasuotan nila.

1. STEAMPUNK a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology.

- May mga eksena na makakarelate ka sa hirap na dinaanan ni Mabini. Aaminin ko may isang parte ng palabas dito na napaluha ako ng dalawang beses

- Ang ganda nga dance production nila.

- Ang mga kanta at ang pag set-up ng nito ay sobrang ganda, mapapaindak ka at ma-pa LLS ka dahil ang ganda talaga nito at lalo na ang last video sa baba. Sana nga magkaroon ako ng kopya nito. lol!

Mapapanood na ang Mabining Mandirigma sa darating na Hulyo 17-19, 2015 Biyernes hanggang Linggo, 3pm at 8pm para sa Gala show sa Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (Little Theater).

So guys I suggest that you should watch this amazing show!

PARUN NG COWBOY FEEDBACK

PARUN NG COWBOY was a successful event. This event is line for the 21st anniversary celebration of Cowboy Grill's which aims to help the kids of Cottolengo Filipino Foundation Inc. Being fit and healthy is good, but helping and supporting this charity run really captures my heart especially when I see does children running also in this event. It was a very amazing experience running in this  event. Good job and congratulations to the team of Cowboy Grill's and also to Pinoy Aspiring Runners for doing a very unique fun run.  

I really like the theme of this event, the cool bandana and cowboy hat waiting for does runners before they cross the finish line, cool sheriff badge finisher medal, the event area is very productive and lots of cool freebies from the partner sponsors 

The Cowboy Grill's best in-house bands also come to entertain the participants for the after-party and cool dance intermission number.
